SLS Scholars School, Suryapet, Telangana, is operated by Sri Laxmi Sai Education Society ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website, our school management system, and our communications with parents, students, and staff (including SMS and WhatsApp messages).

Information we collect

We collect and store the following categories of information:

• Student information: name, class, section, roll/admission number, attendance, academic marks, exam records, and house/leadership assignments.
• Parent/guardian information: name, phone number, and any details submitted through our Contact page enquiry form.
• Fee and payment information: fee amounts, payment history, and payment method (not full card/bank details, which are handled by payment processors, not stored by us).
• Staff information: name, role, subject, and contact details, for internal school administration.

How we use this information

We use the information above to:

• Manage attendance, academic records, and school administration through our internal school management system
• Communicate with parents about attendance, fees, homework, notices, and hall tickets — via the school app, SMS, and/or WhatsApp
• Respond to admission enquiries submitted through this website
• Maintain accurate financial and academic records as required for school administration

How we protect it

Student and parent portal access is protected by a private PIN unique to each student, known only to their family. Passwords and PINs are stored in encrypted form and are never visible to school staff, including administrators. Repeated incorrect login attempts are automatically locked for a period of time to prevent unauthorized access attempts.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent student, parent, or staff information to any third party. Information may be shared with:

• SMS and WhatsApp service providers, solely to deliver messages we send on the school's behalf
• Government education authorities, where required by law or reporting obligations (e.g. UDISE+)

Data retention

We retain student records for as long as a student is enrolled, and for a reasonable period afterward for academic and administrative record-keeping. A withdrawn or graduated student's records are archived, not deleted, so historical academic and fee records remain accurate and available if needed later (e.g. for transfer certificates).

Your rights

Parents/guardians may contact the school office at any time to review, correct, or ask questions about the information we hold about their child. Contact details are on our Contact page.

Children's information

As a school, most of the information we hold relates to minors. We collect this information solely for the purpose of providing education and school administration, with the consent implied by enrollment, and take particular care to restrict access so that only a student's own parent/guardian can view that student's specific records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
